What is IoT?

Internet of Things (IoT) is a generic name for applications where physical devices or people are fitted and monitored by sensors. The sensors collect data from their environment and delivers the data via the Internet typically to a data cloud service that processes data in order to control or monitor the environment where the sensor is located. For our region, it is essential that we enhance new knowledge and provide our local companies and university students the possibility to be important part of the global development.
